President Bola Ahmed Tinubu intervened in the ongoing political turmoil in Ondo State, orchestrating a reconciliation between Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and his deputy, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Despite Governor Akeredolu's absence due to medical treatment, a six-hour marathon meeting took place at the State House, spearheaded by President Tinubu.

The resolution, presented by Aiyedatiwa, pledged unity, mutual respect, and collaboration between the executive and legislative branches. The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Oladiji Olamide, announced a commitment to maintain the status quo, including party and assembly leadership.

The diplomatic intervention comes after appeals from state leaders and elders, marking a significant turn in the state's political landscape.
