Residents of Desalu Street, Odo-Ona, Ibadan, found themselves in bewilderment as officials from an undisclosed hospital left Blessing Ayeni, a sick woman, at the front of her husband's alcohol-selling shop.
According to witnesses, the hospital claimed Blessing had been abandoned since last year, compelling them to deliver her to her husband's known address. Despite attempts by the hospital to contact the husband for medical bill responsibility, there was allegedly no positive response.
The sick woman lay helpless under the sun, with residents unable to assist due to the hospital's claim of a contagious ailment.
The husband remains elusive, and his shop is locked.
