Shubomi, the younger sister of the troubled Nigerian singer, Afeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, has voiced her strong opposition to her brother's prolonged detention. She took to her Instagram Stories to express her frustration, highlighting that her brother had voluntarily returned to the country. Shubomi strongly criticized the nearly 30-day detention, labeling it as an attempt to pacify social media and online public opinion, which she found unreasonable.
She firmly called for her brother's immediate release. Naira Marley, the owner of Marlian record label, has been in custody since October 3, his arrest linked to the unfortunate death of Mohbad. Shubomi's plea on social media adds to the growing chorus of voices seeking justice and transparency in the handling of her brother's case.
