Southwest Governors, including Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, and Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, paid a courtesy visit to the ailing Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, at his Ibadan residence. Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State was absent from the visit. Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State hosted the visiting governors in his office at Agodi, Ibadan, following a private meeting there; they proceeded to Governor Akeredolu's residence at Jericho, Ibadan.

Akeredolu has been recuperating in Ibadan since his return to Nigeria from medical treatment abroad. Richard Olatunde, the Chief Press Secretary of the Ondo State Governor, expressed Akeredolu's appreciation for the governors' solidarity and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration among the Southwest states. The South-West Governors' Forum extended their support and prayers for Akeredolu's recovery while discussing regional and national issues. This visit highlights the unity and collaboration among the Southwest governors during challenging times.
