Nigerian music stars, including Davido, Falz, and Zlatan Ibile, joined a candlelight procession in honor of the late Afrobeats artist Mohbad in Lagos. The 27-year-old Ilerioluwa Aloba passed away in Lagos under controversial circumstances and has since been laid to rest. Calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death have arisen among Nigerians.

The procession, held in the Victoria Island area of Lagos, began around 7:18 pm, attracting hundreds of youths who gathered to pay tribute to the talented artist. A similar event took place in Peckham Square, UK, where participants were seen singing the late rapper's songs in viral social media videos.

Earlier, the Lagos Police Command exhumed the rapper's body for autopsy, and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun ordered a comprehensive probe into Mohbad's death. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu requested the Department of State Services (DSS) to assist in the investigation, and Senator Elisha Abbo visited the singer's family in Lagos to assure them of the government's commitment to seeking justice in the matter.
