The Super Eagles of Nigeria have landed at the Aéroport International Felix Houphouet Boigny in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations set to commence on Saturday.
Led by coach Jose Peseiro and captain Ahmed Musa, the team departed from Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos on Wednesday morning after a dinner hosted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The Eagles join other teams, including Atlas Lions of Morocco, Egypt, Mozambique, Senegal, and Guinea-Bissau, in Cote d’Ivoire for the tournament. Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is expected to lead the Eagles' attack, with matches against Equatorial Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, and Guinea-Bissau scheduled.
