President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep concern about the alarming number of out-of-school children in Nigeria. During a meeting with the National Working Committee of the All Progressives' Congress (APC) in Lagos, Tinubu emphasized the need for urgent action.
He proposed addressing the issue by establishing more schools, hiring teachers, and ensuring at least one daily meal for students, aligning with the progressive ideology of the party. Tinubu underscored the importance of democracy being inclusive and progressive, with a focus on eradicating poverty through job creation and providing quality education.
The President also pledged support for the National Institute of Progressive Studies, advocating for collaborative efforts to advance these principles. Tinubu urged the party to target youths and women in its ongoing digital membership validation exercise.
The National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, assured Tinubu of strategic plans to secure electoral victories in upcoming bye-elections. Tinubu thanked the party for its support and affirmed his commitment to the progressive ideals.
