Lawyer and human rights activist, Dele Farotimi, challenges the narrative surrounding President Bola Tinubu's role in the aftermath of Muhammadu Buhari's presidency. As a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tinubu's support played a pivotal role in Buhari's 2015 electoral victory.
However, Farotimi contends that Tinubu, despite distancing himself from Buhari's failures, shares a collective responsibility for the current socio-economic and security challenges in Nigeria.
In a recent interview on Channels Television, Farotimi highlights Tinubu's active role in marketing Buhari to Nigerians during the 2015 elections and asserts that the present administration cannot escape accountability for the nation's current state.
The lawyer also expresses concerns about the lack of positive indicators from Tinubu's government, urging Nigerians to brace for additional challenges beyond economic hardships arising from policy changes.
