Mr. Dele Alake, Chairman of the Presidential Committee overseeing the implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's End of Year Transportation Subsidy Program, announced that over 160,000 people have benefited from the initiative, set to conclude on January 4, 2024.
The Minister of Solid Mineral Development took to his official X account to highlight the resounding success of the program, which has garnered substantial passenger numbers for both the Nigeria Railway Commission and the Association of Luxury Bus Owners of Nigeria (ALBON).
Alake expressed his satisfaction, stating, "I am pleased to report that our program has been a tremendous success, benefiting over 160,000 passengers across the country."
Notably, the Nigerian Railway Commission has ferried approximately 71,000 passengers, while ALBON has transported 77,122 passengers within the same period, marking a significant positive impact on the nation's transportation landscape
