MohBad passed away on September 12, 2023, with his burial taking place the following day in Lagos.
The circumstances surrounding his death prompted public outcry and calls for a thorough investigation. The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, ordered a forensic inquiry, and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, established a ten-person team, including a pathologist, to investigate the singer's death.
