The Islamic State (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for a shooting at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, the Russian capital, resulting in at least 60 fatalities, including children.

The attack occurred on Friday night, leaving 145 individuals injured, with the death toll expected to rise.

The attackers, dressed in camouflage and unmasked, reportedly fled the scene in a white car with a Renault symbol after firing automatic weapons and detonating a grenade, causing a fire and partial collapse of the hall's roof.

While ISIS claimed responsibility through its affiliated news agency Amaq on Telegram, no evidence was provided to substantiate the claim.

Russian authorities, including the Investigative Committee and the ministry of internal affairs, are investigating the incident as a potential terrorist attack.

Material evidence, including weapons and ammunition, has been collected from the crime scene, and various examinations such as genetic, ballistic, and fingerprinting analyses are underway.

Additionally, video surveillance footage is being reviewed, and autopsies will be conducted as part of the investigation.
