Mama D, a Ugandan chef, has broken the Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Marathon, surpassing the previous record set by Irish chef Alan Fisher.

Mama D accomplished this feat by cooking non-stop for an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes on Thursday, 28 December 2023. Fisher's record, established in November, was an extension of the record initially held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci, who cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes in May.

Mama D, still cooking with plans to continue until the new year, seeks to set a groundbreaking 9-day record. While Baci's previous achievement gained widespread attention and endorsements, Mama D's new record awaits official certification from the Guinness World Record organization, marking a significant moment in the world of culinary endurance.
