A clash between Yoruba youths and Hausa traders at Oluwole Market in Lagos reportedly resulted in one death and numerous injuries.
The conflict, erupting on Thursday night and escalating into Friday, allegedly began when a Yoruba man intervened in a dispute between two Hausa individuals and was fatally stabbed. Identified as Abbey, he succumbed to his injuries, triggering reprisal attacks and widespread destruction of food items in the market.
