US President Joe Biden arrived in Israel on a solidarity visit amid escalating tensions in the region. His visit comes in the wake of deadly attacks by the Palestinian group Hamas and a recent explosion at a Gaza hospital, which has further strained the situation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally greeted Biden upon his arrival at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport. The two leaders shared an embrace, symbolizing the close relationship between their nations.

The visit is taking place under extraordinary security measures, reflecting the significance of Biden's trip and the volatile situation. Armed police and troops were deployed around the Tel Aviv hotel where the leaders would hold talks. Snipers were positioned on the roofs of nearby buildings to ensure maximum security.

As Tel Aviv is in close proximity to the Gaza Strip, the US President's visit holds significant weight. Israel has been responding to Hamas attacks since a major offensive by the Palestinian group on October 7. Biden's arrival is seen as a diplomatic effort to address the crisis and offer support to Israel in these challenging times
