In Bauchi State, a silent crisis unfolds as residents grapple with soaring food prices, leading to hunger and despair. According to reports, a small portion of potatoes has surged from 300 to 1000 naira, while the price of a bag of maize has doubled from 30,000 to 60,000 naira. Additionally, the cost of a bag of beans has escalated to 120,000 naira.

The dire situation has left residents pleading with the government to reassess its policies, emphasizing the urgent need for intervention. Disturbingly, the impact is evident as families in Bauchi, reportedly 99% of them, now go to bed without food, highlighting the severity of the crisis and the immediate need for relief measures.
