A Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) supporter was stabbed by hooded attackers in Milan ahead of the Champions League match between PSG and AC Milan. The 34-year-old French man suffered two stab wounds to his leg and was hospitalized, with his life reportedly not in danger. The incident occurred in the Navigli area of Milan, where around 50 Milan fans clashed with French supporters. Video footage shared on social media shows a confrontation between the groups, with some individuals wearing hoods and carrying baton-like objects.
This incident follows another stabbing in the same area two months ago when a Newcastle United supporter was attacked ahead of a Champions League fixture against Milan. PSG, currently leading Group F by two points, faced Milan in a highly anticipated match at the San Siro Stadium. The match was expected to be heated, with the return of Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who left Milan for PSG in the summer of 2021. Both teams were competing for a spot in the knockout stages of the Champions League, with only four points separating the four teams in the group. Milan, which had struggled to score in its previous matches, was at the bottom of the group with two points.
