Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has responded to criticism from Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, over the proposed N15.5 billion budget for a new official residence for the VP. Shettima, in a statement, accused Obi of engaging in public theatrics and spreading falsehood.
He clarified that the project, initiated in 2010 and funded by the Jonathan administration, was abandoned before the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, decided to revive it.
Shettima urged Nigerians to focus on the importance of completing vital projects and not be misled by Obi's "tantrums" and divisive rhetori
