Veteran Nollywood actor and director, Charles Inojie, shed light on why female actors often accumulate more wealth than their male counterparts in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast. Inojie suggested that many female thespians engage in relationships with wealthy and influential individuals, contributing to their higher earnings.
He pointed out that even some actresses who secure minor roles in movies can amass more wealth than male actors who play lead roles. He mentioned instances where these actresses suddenly acquire multi-million-dollar mansions, luxury cars, and substantial gifts for their family members.
Inojie emphasized that female actors benefit from multiple streams of income, notably from connections with politicians, business executives, and other wealthy individuals who watch them on screen. These contacts often offer lucrative opportunities, including sponsorships and endorsements.
While acknowledging the disparity in income between male and female actors, Inojie advised his male colleagues not to be disheartened by the affluence displayed by actresses who acquire wealth through such connections.
