President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's lawyer, Wole Afolabi, has provided an explanation for the "F" indicating female on the president's certificate. Afolabi revealed that a mixup at Chicago State University was the reason behind this discrepancy. The transcript provided by Southwest College indicated the "F," which was an apparent error. Afolabi explained that when the person applying for school at Chicago State University ticked the box for male, the admission letter was issued to Mr. Tinubu.
The issue of discrepancies in the signatures on the certificate was also addressed by Afolabi, who stated that certificates were not issued at the time of graduation but only when someone applied for them. He suggested that the person who issued the certificate Tinubu submitted to INEC might not have been at the university in 1979.
In response to Afolabi's explanation, former spokesperson for Atiku, Segun Sowunmi, expressed doubt about whether Tinubu actually attended Chicago State University. He pointed out the security number on the certificate linked to a female name and questioned Tinubu's attendance at the school.
The explanation comes as part of the ongoing legal dispute between Atiku Abubakar and President Tinubu over the presidential election results
