The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, addressed the ongoing feud between him and his predecessor, Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara. In a press briefing in Abuja, Wike attributed the discord to the revealing nature of money and power, emphasizing that these elements unveil a person's true character. Expressing his disdain for ingratitude, Wike cited the words of Odili, stating, "Give a man power and money, then you will know the person."
Wike claimed that he left no liabilities in the state and had initiated projects for his successor to showcase during the initial hundred days in office. However, he accused Fubara of importing crisis and creating problems for himself despite being given a golden opportunity by God. Wike criticized those supporting the turmoil in Rivers State, asserting that only natural ingrates would endorse such actions. He hinted at using legal means to address the situation, emphasizing his commitment to political strategies rather than resorting to thuggery.
