Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester City has embraced his new attacking role under manager Enzo Maresca, showing remarkable improvement. Last season was challenging for the Nigerian international, but Maresca has shifted him forward in midfield, resulting in three goals and one assist in all competitions.
Ndidi expressed his satisfaction with the positional change, saying, "It’s been good, it’s the other side of my game. As a child growing up I’ve always been a central defender and then turning into a number six and now enjoying the number eight position. It’s just the way I am, having an open mind to play any position I can possibly play on the pitch. Just trying to enjoy football, be myself and enjoy football."
In their recent match against Bristol City, Ndidi was on the field alongside his international teammate Kelechi Iheanacho. Jamie Vardy scored the crucial goal in the 67th minute, contributing to Leicester City's goal of immediate promotion back to the Premier League following their relegation last season
