Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has announced a significant career shift, revealing that he has embraced a full-time role as a preacher after answering what he describes as the "call of God."
The actor, known for his captivating performances on the big screen, teased fans with the promise of the "biggest announcement" of his life. Hours later, Edochie took to Instagram to share his decision, stating that he is set to embark on the divine journey of spreading the message of God through a newly launched Christian program on YouTube titled 'True Salvation Ministry.'
In his announcement, Edochie wrote, "It’s time to answer the call of God almighty. It’s time to do his work fully. To spread the true message of God. Tune in, and be transformed."
Days prior to the unveiling of his ministry, Yul Edochie used his YouTube channel to express his disapproval of prosperity preachers, emphasizing the need for a return to the fundamental teachings of love.
"The most important teaching of God is love. Unfortunately, that important teaching is the least preached in our society today. Almost everybody is preaching prosperity," Yul passionately preached.
The actor's pivot from the glitzy world of Nollywood to the pulpit introduces a captivating narrative that transcends the boundaries of entertainment and spirituality. As Edochie embarks on this new chapter, questions arise about the impact of his decision on his established legacy in the film industry and the evolving dynamics of faith-based messages in contemporary society.
