Sports Angel Di Maria: Manchester United agree record £59.7m with Real Madrid

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the sale of Angel Di Maria.

The English club will break the British transfer record and will pay Madrid a whooping £59.7m for the Argentine player.

Di Maria arrived Carrington on Monday evening and will now undergo a medical at United on Tuesday morning to complete the transfer.

The arrival of Di Maria will take United's summer spending to £132m,following the acquisitions of Luke Shaw,Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon criticised the sale of Di Maria,saying that he "does not like" the idea of him leaving: "Normally a club who owns the very good players don't like to sell them."
