Senator Helen Esuene, Chairman, Senate Committee on Women Affairs, has predicted that a female will succeed Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom state.
Speaking at the inauguration of Ibom Consolidated Assembly (ICA), a political pressure group in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, THE SUN reported that Esuene who had longed indicated interest to replace Akpabio said, "It is time for a woman to be the next governor of Akwa Ibom because it is a woman that manages the home successfully; a woman with a little money will buy all the things you need in your home. We are good managers; we are transparent; we do not carry baggage; we will not be there to waste your money".
The senator commended Akpabio for his uncommon transformation of Akwa Ibom state but reiterated that it was time for a woman to govern the state.
