Alhaji Bature Isa, the Director of Administration of the Sokoto State Local Government Service Commission in a statement said 32 local government council workers with fake certificates has been discovered in the state on Saturday.
He said the discovery was made after a verification exercise to ascertain staff who had genuine certificates.
According to him, the affected workers were from Dange/Shuni, Goronyo, Gwadabawa, Shagari, Wamakko, Tureta and Isa local government councils.
He added that the state government was considering appropriate sanctions for the offenders, noting that "job seekers must desist from presenting fake certificates, as this is a punishable offence.
