On Thursday, six operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS attached to President Goodluck Jonathan were hospitalized after a failed attack on the President in Bauchi state.

According to NEWSWIRE NG, when President Jonathan was leaving the Ibrahim Babangida Square, venue of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP rally, some youths attacked the last bus on the convoy which contained the DSS operatives with a big stone which smashed the windscreen and caused injuries for the occupants.
Six occupants of the bus sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital. Out of the 6, 2 who sustained deep cuts on their heads which required bandages and other serious measures were flown back to Abuja for treatment.
