Nigeria's Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has hinted on the privatization of the Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano international airports.
He spoke during a fact-finding and evaluation tour of the Murtala Muhammed Airport on Wednesday.
Amaechi said the proposed concession of the four airports would guarantee efficiency and good management as well as help revitalise the infrastructure of the Aviation sector.
He however didn't state the specific airports to be privatised.
The minister also gave December 2016 as the deadline for the completion of the four major international airport terminals under construction in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano.
After the completion of construction work, the airports will be able to handle a lot more passengers than is currently obtainable.
