Senator-elect, Shehu Sani on Tuesday accused President Goodluck Jonathan of bias.
LEADERSHIP reports that Sani who also described the Niger Delta amnesty programme as a sham urged Muhammadu Buhari to probe it once he's sworn into office.
Sani said, ''The 8th Senate will not be a supporters’ club to Buhari. We must not behave like the people of Niger Delta where everything their leader did was right. We must be able to challenge General Buhari when he goes wrong, and also advised him when he is not doing well.
''The budgetary allocation of the Jonathan’s administration favoured only people from his region and he is against the interest of other people, especially people from the north and the south west. We are also aware that his regime enriched thugs through pipeline protection contracts allocated to them at the cost of hundreds of millions of dollars, and thuggery was celebrated in the country''.
''These policies have left behind a looted and empty treasury which the incoming government will not find easy to correct within a short space''.
