On Tuesday, the Nigerian Police Force threw a damper on the planned protest against the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ) by leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to THIS DAY,Chief Bisi Akande, the National Chairman, said the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in a reply to the application to hold the protest march declined to allow the protest, citing security situation in the country as a reason.
The APC chieftain also said that his party will not participate in the supplementary election in Anambra on Saturday because they have no confidence in INEC.
