Over the weekend, the Anambra state governor, Peter Obi gave out N200million and 2 vehicles to the Madonna University, Okija and Paul University, Awka.
The governor said that the intervention to the private universities was was necessary because as institutions in Anambra State because they were training grounds for Anambra indigenes.
According to Vanguard, the governor also gave N30 million to St. John’s Technical College, Neni for infrastructural development.
Governor Obi's action follows the ongoing intervention in tertiary education in Anambra state which started with a grant of N5 billion to the state owned Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu University for infrastructural development.
