The Osun elections may have come and gone but the division in the state is a long way from over. On Monday, supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and All Progressives Congress, APC clashed in Ile-Ife, political stronghold of Iyiola Omisore, PDP candidate.
Daily Independent, a reliable source claimed that the clash was started by PDP supporters who allegedly attacked those of the APC who were celebrating the victory of their candidate, in the election.
Scores of people sustained various degree of injuries during the clash.
The APC issued a statement confirming the clash, meanwhile the Osun Police Command is denying any knowledge of the incident.
