Activities marking the third year anniversary of Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti on Wednesday witnessed some prominent Nigerians mobilizing support for the governor.

According to THE NEWS AGENCY OF NIGERIA, Fayemi's administration was commended for its achievements in three years at a rally held at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti,.

Present at the rally were eminent lawyer, Chief Afe Babalola, former Ekiti State Governor, Niyi Adebayo, Edo Governor, Adams Oshiomhole and Rauf Aregbesola of Osun.

Some of the leaders present, who also included senators and House of Representatives members from the state, poured encomiums on the governor, saying he had transformed Ekiti.

In a speech on the occasion, Fayemi pledged to work harder in the remaining one year, in a manner that every Ekiti resident would feel the impact of the administration.

He appealed to opposition parties as well as disgruntled members of the APC, his party, to “sheath their sword’’ and team up with him to achieve his goals for the state.

"As far as I am concerned, I have sworn not to be distracted but remain focused." He said.

Fayemi was sworn-in on Oct. 16, 2010, following an Appeal Court judgement in Ilorin, which directed former Gov. Segun Oni of the PDP to vacate office.
