Today, the Bring Back Our Girls group will visit the Chadian Embassy to protest the alleged connection between the government and Boko Haram.

A Cameroonian investigative journalist, Bisong Etahoben, had reported on Twitter that Mr. Gnoti, who was arrested with 19 SAM2 missiles reportedly purchased for Boko Haram, said Chadian President Idriss Deby had given him “the funds to purchase the weapons, waved a presidential pass issued to him by Mr Deby’s office in order to get past border guards, but was stopped and searched by the guards who found the deadly weapons on him.”

The BBOG group, which has been campaigning for the release of the over 219 abducted CHibok girls, said that the failed ceasefire deal and the report of Mr. Mahama Bichara Gnoti were suspicious.

President Goodluck Jonathan, meanwhile, had visited Chad to hold an emergency closed-door meeting with President Deby on Monday.
