On Sunday, Senator Muhammad Jibrillah Bindow won the All Progressives Party (APC) gubernatorial primary election in Adamawa State.
THIS DAY reported that declaring the outcome of the party’s primary last night, the Chairman of the electoral committee of the party, Dr Garba Abari, who announced the breakdown of the results, declared that 6,232 voters were accredited while 42 votes were declared invalid. Out of the 6,190 valid votes cast, Abari said Bindow scored 2,718 to beat his closest opponent, Alhaji Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayaji, who polled 2,268 votes to emerge second in the race.
On October 11, Bindow will be running against acting Governor of Adamawa state, Alhaji Umaru Fintiri who will be representing the People Democratic Party (PDP).
