Kwara State Government has begun evacuation of students of the state origin from Maiduguri and other parts of Borno State to save them from falling victims of the incessant violent attacks by the Boko Haram insurgent group.
State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Tunji Moronfoye, told newsmen in Ilorin on Thursday that the government has dispatched a delegation to Borno State for the evacuation.
Moronfoye said the delegation was provided with enough logistics to enable it bring the students back home at once, adding that they would be arriving Ilorin as from today.
