The Enugu State House of Assembly, according to Daily Post on Tuesday, commenced impeachment proceedings against the state’s Deputy Governor, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi.
The House at its plenary session directed its clerk to serve impeachment notice on the Deputy Governor.
Onyebuchi was said to have provoked some powerful political forces in the state by showing interest to contest for the Senatorial position.
The major problem is that the Deputy Governor is believed to have a link with the All Progressives Congress, APC, where he hopes to actualize his ambition, in case the PDP denies him ticket.
Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State is believed to have a firm control of the PDP dominated House of Assembly.
