As anti-Buhari protesters continue the authenticity of the statement of result of the APC presidential candidate, Sahara Reporters says it has reached out to the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) which was formerly called Cambridge Assessment, and the latter is said to have confirmed that Hausa language was one of the subjects offered in 1961.

The online journal says that Cambridge Assessment "made it clear that “Hausa” was offered as a subject in their exams in 1961. The agency’s statement “confirmed that, according to the Regulations for 1961, African language papers, including those for Hausa, were set for the West African School Certificate.”
