Former Super Eagles player Mutiu Adepoju has warned the homebased Eagles to buckle up or face being eliminated from the African Nations Championship(CHAN)

Nigeria lost their first game 2-1 to Mali and needs to win their second game against Mozambique if they are to make the next round of the competition.

Adepoju noted that there is no room for lapses,as failure to win their games would see them out of the tournament.

“I want to believe that the players would have learnt from the lessons of the opening day loss to Mali because there is no margin for error again in the competition, we just have to beat Mozambique in order to qualify from the group stages,” Adepoju told Brila FM.

The homebased will today play against Mozambique before playing the host nation,South Africa, and needs to win both games to stand a chance of progressing to the last eight.
