Business Clarke Energy Boosts Power Generation In Nigeria With Gas Engines

Clark Energy Nigeria has joined in the boost of electricity supply in the country, especially for the industrial sector.

Clarke Energy is a company involved in the engineering, installation and maintenance of gas and diesel engines and accessories. It is also a service provider for GE Jenbacher engines.

The company on the 18th of August unveiled its growing capacity to deliver efficient power solutions to the officials of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the media.

Clarke Energy Nigeria, a subsidiary of Clarke Energy Group which was incorporated in 2006 and has supplied over 70 power engines providing over 300 megawatts of power in Nigeria. According to the company's general manager, Patrick Nzekwe, the company's operations has grown tremendously in the last nine years as its clientele has spread across Lagos, Agbara, Otta, Ajaokuta, Aba, Port Harcourt, Abeokuta, Benin and Abakaliki. It's staff has also risen to 80 out of which 45 are engineers.

The company envisions to be the number one company in gas utilization and management in Nigeria and notable among its clientele in Nigeria are Flour Mills group, Standard Flour Mills, Guiness Nigeria Plc, Lagos state Government(Akute power plant), and Nestle plc.

The President of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Ademola Olorunfemi and his team of NSE officials expressed satisfaction over the power solutions being provided by Clarke Energy Nigeria, and its contribution to the growth of Engineering profession in the country, as over 50 percent of its staff are engineers.
