The new Niger state governor-elect, who is the son of the former governor of Kano State, Colonel Sani Bello (rtd), will on the 29th May be sworn in by his mother in-law, the state chief judge, Justice Fati Abubakar.

Justice Fati Abubakar is also the wife of Nigeria's former head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar
