According to Vanguard, four suspected kidnappers have been arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Iragbiji area of Osun state for allegedly killing a four years old boy, Bakare Teslim.
Among the suspects is a 60 years old Ganiyu Abidoye, Taju Ganiyu (25), Agboola Abdulwasiu (31) and Aremu Moshood 48 were docked on Monday, October 26 by the police.
One of the suspects, Aremu who is a cleric lured the victim with a biscuit to a bush where the boy was beheaded.
It was learnt that the accused persons kidnapped the boy on October 9, at about 6.17pm at Agbelekale area in the state before deceased was beheaded with a knife.
According to the police prosecutor, Inspector Adegoke Taiwo said that the offences run contrary to and punishable under Sections 516, 364 (2), 324 and 319 (1) of the Criminal code, Cap 34, Vol. II, Laws of Osun state of Nigeria, 2003.
The accused persons plea could not be taken due to the capital nature of the offences even as their lawyers, Toye Emitoma and A. Adebisi did not move for their bail.
The Magistrate, Idowu Ajao has adjourned the case still December 21, while ordering that the accused persons being remanded in prison.
