Thirty-seven members of House of Representatives who defected from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC) yesterday asked those calling for their sack from the National Assembly to keep shut or be jailed.
The lawmakers are contending that making calls on relevant authorities to declare their seats vacant at a time the issue still remains live issue for determination before a competent law court amounted to contempt ex-facie curiae.
Sunday Mirror reports that prominent Nigerians, particularly chieftains of the ruling PDP had consistently called for the sack of the lawmakers for jumping the ship.
