Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, is in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigerian Tribune reports.



Babachir Lawal was indicted in the North-east contract scam for the IDPs by Senator Shehu Sani-led Senate ad-hoc committee.

He was sacked and replaced by President Muhammadu Buhari after three-man panel led by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo found him wanting.
