Former Governor of Ebonyi state, Martins Elechi and some his his former commissioners were on Tuesday grilled by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC over allegations of misappropriation of public funds.
PUNCH reports that EFCC had on January 29, 2015 questioned the former governor’s son, Nnanna, on allegations of money laundering and embezzlement but Elechi could not be quizzed while in office by the commission because he had constitutional immunity against prosecution.
At the time of this post, it is unclear if the EFCC kept Elechi overnight or if he'll be arrested soon.
