Ahead of its December 5 Presidential election, the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) disqualified 13 candidates.
Global Times reports that the 13 candidates were disqualified for fraudulent signatures, absence of required number of signatures, and improper filling of nomination forms.
Following the disqualification, only 4 candidates are left in the race - John Dramani Mahama of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet of the Convention People's Party (CPP), and Jacob Osei Yeboah, an independent candidate.
