Sports Falconets wallop South Africa 6-0 in Abuja

Nigeria's Falconets on Saturday in Abuja pummeled South Africa 6-0 to take a commanding lead in the first leg of the FIFA under 20 World Cup qualifiers.

Three goals in each half saw the Nigerian girls stroll over their opponents,as they dominated from start to finish,with goals from five different players to seal victory.

Asisat Oshoala, Halimatu Ayinde, Yetunde Adeboyejo opened the floodgates in the first half for the Facolnets,before Winifred Eyebhoria,Sunday Uchechi-Lopes and Ayinde added further goals.

The Falconets will head into the second leg away to South Africa confident of their lead as they look to confirm qualification for the FIFA World Cup taking place in Canada.

Nigeria qualified for the last two editions of the World Cup and made the semifinals on those occasions.
