Former Governor of Ebonyi, Dr Sam Egwu, on Sunday in Ezzambo called on the Federal Government to recruit the teeming unemployed graduates in the country into the Nigerian armed forces.
Egwu, who is the leader of the Ebonyi delegates to the ongoing National Conference, told newsmen at his Ezzambo hometown that this would help in addressing the country’s security challenges.
``The recruitment of youths into the military will also help in tackling the high level of unemployment in the country,’’ the former governor said.
He also said President Goodluck Jonathan’s acceptance of the international community's offer of security assistance in fighting the Boko Haram insurgency was a welcome development.
