Nigeria - The Pump Price of Petrol has risen to N200 per litre in Ibadan, Oyo State capital and its environs.
Motorists were stranded as queues remained at many filling stations selling at the official price.
Major roads in Ibadan were devoid of traffic as the scarcity forced motorists indoors. The level of scarcity has increased in the last seven days.
The situation was further compounded by the lack of supply by BOVAS, an independent marketer, which has been selling at the official N86.50k.
BOVAS has been a major marketer easing fuel scarcity in Ibadan in the last two years. But it ran out of stock a week ago.
However reports say supply would resume by the end of the week.
