Former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode on Monday said he is so proud of the Ekiti state governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose over his ban on grazing for herdsmen in the state.
Fani-Kayode, who took to his twitter timeline said: “Proud of Ayo Fayose and people of Ekiti state for passing legislation banning grazing rights for and carrying of arms by Fulani herdsmen”.
Last Thursday, Ekiti State House of Assembly recommended six months jail term for any herdsmen who allow his cattle, sheep and goat to graze on un-designated land for ranches in Ekiti.
The bill, tagged,” Prohibition of Cattle and Other Ruminants Grazing in Ekiti, 2016″which was unanimously passed at the plenary sitting of the Assembly, seek to regulate public grazing in the state.
