Metro Fulani Herdsmen Release Abducted Enugu Auditor After N700,000 Ransom

The Enugu State auditor, Ogbobe Stephen, allegedly abducted by Fulani herdsmen along Nsukka- Adani highway has been released after payment of N700,000.

According to Vanguard, the ransom was paid at a designated place in Amokwu community, Udi local government area, Enugu state.

According to reports, Ogbobe Stephen, with five others, ran into a road block mounted by herdsmen around 4pm along the Nsukka-Adani express road while returning from a town hall meeting at Ukpabi community.

The herdsmen initially demanded for N5m ransom on Sunday, then reduced it to N1.5m the next day, before collecting N700,000 ransom for the release of the auditor.
